Highway Specialties, Inc. ("HSI," "we," "us") operates highwayspecialties.net and jobs.highwayspecialties.net. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are a Montana pavement-marking and traffic-control contractor; the primary purpose of our website is recruiting.
Information we collect
- Employment application information you submit through our online application: name, contact details (including mobile phone number), location, driver's-license status, work eligibility and experience information, and any other details you choose to provide.
- Records-check authorization details (such as driver's-license information) collected with your explicit written authorization, used solely to conduct the Department of Motor Vehicles / DOT driving-history check that is a prerequisite for employment.
- Basic technical data (such as pages visited and referral source) used to understand which recruiting channels work.
How we use your information
- To evaluate your application and contact you about employment — by phone, email, or text message (if you gave us permission to text you).
- To run authorized pre-employment checks (e.g., DOT driving history).
- To administer employment if you are hired.
- To improve our recruiting (e.g., which job board an applicant came from).
Text messaging (SMS) privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
If you opt in to receive text messages from us (for example, by providing your mobile number on our employment application and agreeing to be texted), we will use texts only for recruiting and employment communications: application follow-ups, interview scheduling, and hiring updates. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us operate (e.g., Google Forms for applications, our telephone/SMS provider) — solely to provide those services;
- With consumer-reporting / records agencies when you have authorized a check (e.g., DMV driving history);
- When required by law.
Data retention & security
Application records are retained for our hiring and legal-compliance purposes and access is restricted to those involved in hiring. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your application information at any time using the contact below, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
